14k White Gold Boulder Doublet Opal Ring With Sapphires

This is a Free Form Australian Boulder Doublet Opal set in solid 14k White Gold. There are sapphires layered delicately complimenting the Boulder Doublet Opal.

Opal is the birthstone for the month of October, along with pink tourmaline. It is also the stone given to celebrate the 14th year of marriage. The name opal is thought to be derived from the Sanskrit Upala, meaning “precious stone,” and later the Greek derivative “Opallios,” meaning “to see a change of colour.”

As with all opals, they do show different colours when the light hits them.

This Boulder Doublet Opal comes from Coober Pedy Australia.
